The Program
This Targeted Early Intervention program is made up of 3 components and is designed for children in their early years aged 0 to 7 years and their families. The programs main focus is to introduce children and their families to the art of playing together in a fun filled group of activities. This is achieved through ball games and activities that develop the gross motor skills along with the numeracy and literacy skills of the child while building on the family unit’s capacity to bond through play in their home. In some sections of the program additional information is delivered by other services in their communities to inform the target group of services and support available to them if needed.
This component aims to increase the participation of Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal families in community events. These events give Parents/Carers and their family members the opportunity to interact with other organisations and community members while enjoying activities with their family members.

Community Events
Each session includes age-appropriate activities that develop the child’s motor skills while improving outcomes in literacy, numeracy, and colour identification. Throughout each session there are great giveaways for each participant to enjoy. These consist of a football, poster, footy for fun t-shirt and some basic literacy and numeracy activities
3-week Program
This component provides participants with information regarding services available to them. Increases knowledge and awareness of these services and being able to interact in a non-threatening environment breaks down barriers and stigmas around seeking assistance from them if needed. This also develops increased sense of belonging to their community.
